The Well and Good custard powder is a winner – it tastes like regular custard, just without the egg, gluten and dairy. This custard powder doesn’t need cooking; simply add water and you’re done!

Serving size information: A 35g serve is low FODMAP, 18 serves per 250g pack.

Ingredients: Sugar, Potato Starch, Rice Flour, Maltodextrin, Stabilizer (Calcium Sulphate), Iodised Salt, Thickeners (Sodium Alginate, Xanthan Gum), Natural Vanilla Flavour, Coconut Milk Powder, Natural Colour (Riboflavin).

SUITABLE FOR VEGANS

A very simple gluten free custard recipe using the Well and Good custard powder. You can make instant custard that doesn’t even need to be cooked. Just add water and your preferred milk.

You'll need:

  • 1 packet (250g) Gluten Free Custard Powder
  • 600 mL water
  • 600 mL milk (or your choice of milk substitute)

Method:

  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl with an electric mixer for 20 – 30 seconds on high speed
  2. Allow to set.

Tips: For a thicker or thinner consistency increase or reduce liquid.
For warm custard heat up in the microwave or in a pot.

2 heaped tablespoons and 1 cup milk or water makes 1 cup of pouring custard.
Add a dash of brandy for a perfect accompaniment to your Christmas pudding.
